The current answer, after shutdown
Doppl alternative
outside the US.
Direct answer: Doppl is no longer an option outside the US—or inside it. Google says the experiment stopped working and was removed on April 30, 2026. For a current try-on, use a product-level action from Google or ChatGPT when it is offered, or use Private Try-On when you want to combine your exact top, bottoms and shoes into one browser-based style preview.
The US-only premise is now historical
Google launched Doppl in the United States on June 26, 2025 as an experimental Google Labs app for people aged 18 and over. It let users upload an outfit image, visualise it on a digital version of themselves and create AI-generated videos. Google also warned that fit, appearance and clothing details might be inaccurate.
Google's current help page says Doppl stopped working and was removed on April 30, 2026. A current guide should therefore answer the shutdown first instead of suggesting that changing regions will restore access.
Choose by the question you need answered
| Option | Use it when | Check before relying on it |
|---|---|---|
| Google virtual try-on | The product page or Google experience offers the try-on action you need. | Check current product, account and region availability in Google's own interface. |
| ChatGPT Try on | An eligible clothing or accessory product listing has a Try on action and a single-product preview is enough. | OpenAI says the result may not represent the product or your appearance exactly and does not guarantee fit or size. |
| Private Try-On | You already have separate images for a selected top, bottoms and shoes and need to judge the complete combination. | The model may change identity and garment details; current studio roles, prices and provider boundaries apply. |
| Manual collage | You only need to compare colours, silhouette and visual weight without uploading a person photo. | It cannot show an on-person preview, but it may answer the decision with less data and no generation cost. |
Private Try-On may be useful when
- You saved exact product images from one or several stores.
- You need the top, bottoms and shoes assessed as one visual direction.
- You prefer a browser or installable PWA workflow.
Do not use Private Try-On when
- You need a guaranteed size, physical fitting or exact fabric behaviour.
- You expect automatic product discovery, a retailer catalogue or imported Doppl history.
- A simple collage already answers the styling question.
A bounded whole-outfit workflow
- Choose one occasion and one exact combination.
- Use a clear full-body photo you own or have permission to process.
- Prepare one unobstructed image for each selected product.
- Add the top, bottoms and shoes to their separate studio roles.
- Compare the generated result with every source image before deciding.

Access, privacy and limits
An eligible verified Private Try-On account currently receives 5 one-time image credits without a card. The app does not publish uploads or place them in a public gallery. Images are still sent to Agnes to create the requested result. Retention after generation may still apply, and immediate deletion is not claimed. Based on written confirmation from Agnes support, uploads sent for generation are not used for model training. We cannot link a public Agnes policy for this. Read the photo and provider explanation and check current pricing before uploading.
No generated preview can prove physical fit, correct size, fabric movement, delivered quality or exact product fidelity. Return to the retailer's size chart, product details and return policy before buying.

Questions
Can I still use Doppl in the United States?
No. Google says Doppl stopped working and was removed on April 30, 2026. Its earlier US-only availability is now historical rather than a current regional option.
What should I use instead of Doppl?
Use a Google or ChatGPT product try-on when the product and action are available there. Use Private Try-On when you already have separate images for a chosen top, bottoms and shoes and want one combined style preview.
Does Private Try-On replace Doppl exactly?
No. Private Try-On is a separate browser product with its own account, pricing, image-provider and privacy boundaries. It does not import Doppl data and cannot guarantee fit, size or exact product fidelity.
AI style preview only. Not a guarantee of fabric, fit, sizing, identity or exact product fidelity.
